I'm sorry
Deep in the past I wrote of my sadness

A pain I have felt before,
Deep, twisting in my soul.
Memories I have seen,
Burning, pulsing neon in my head.

Sorrow that I have known,
Painfully,etched on my face.
Sadness that is all to familiar,
Rolling, scalding tears.

How is it that an event,
One single event,
Cuased so much suffering,
Tears falling unannounced.

Words and actions combined,
Causeing harm, torment, misery.
Doing what I meant,
Hurting you horribly.

So many years,
So many fights,
And this,
This is how it ends.

How could the loss of one friend,
Cuase so much,
Pain and sorrow,
Burning and sadness.

Words and actions combined,
To soothe,comfort,ease.
But nothing could be said,
To make things right.

I said so many words,
In so many ways.
I have no other way,
Of saying, "I'm sorry".
