"Thank You, Father"
To Him, I owe the gift of life.

"Thank You, Father"

ThankYou, Father in Heaven
for blessing me with the kindest of
of parents a daughter can ever hope
for, and cherish them forever.

The sweet memories of a happy
childhood come to me flooding,
submerging my mind and heart with
my dad’s love and mom’s warmth.

I become the sprightly girl that I was
bent on knowing why and how this
world was so beautiful, so colorful.
My fond thanks to my loving father

for opening the doorway to the joys
of reading, the gaiety of playing like
a butterfly on the wing, the exhilaration
of cycling, driving, and the art of living.

A free and secure childhood,
a sweet and innocent girlhood,
a loving, giving and gaining
motherhood, the peace and joy

of now and ever-the whole
spectrum of my life, I owe to my dad
now at rest in Your Heavenly
Abode my Divine Father!
