The Deep-end
I wanted to fall so deep that I couldn’t get back I wanted to escape into dreams and live in make-believe I didn’t expect the bumpy road or broken path I didn’t see the flashing red lights so I didn’t slow down I kept going deeper and deeper into the dream Of you, me, and us. Us in the deep-end Nothing more than dust Shattered starburst in the sky Broken wings that can’t fly Wanting love and never getting it What a mistake I made by thinking you were the one I went to the deep-end and I jumped in Now alone I will swim I can’t get out of the mess I am in.
