The Cavern of Your Thoughts
by Laura
Rated: E | Poetry | Emotional | #1681354
Sometimes, you just have to remind people of what they've left in the dust.
I crawled inside your conscience
made a nice space for myself
cozy and warm, so I might never leave
but I'm not there for recreation, oh no
every night I climb down
into the mine of you thoughts
press my beating heart
against its crumbling walls
and, for a moment, you remember
as you feel my dying affection
pulsate feebly
