A Fantastic Read! A rare opportunity to awaken what you already know, but might not see.

This book was purchased by me from someone I have crossed paths with online, but did not know well. I was interested, because it seemed as though the author spoke about issues and feelings to which I could probably relate. I ordered the book as soon as the opportunity arose. I was very eager to see what it was about.

When I purchased the book, I tried very hard not to think about anything I might have heard about it. Much like movies, TV shows, art exhibits, restaurants, I like to know just a taste, then experience it fully without preconceived notions. I am absolutely thrilled this happened with regard to this book.

All I really could not get out of my head as I opened it was that the author mentioned poetry, had a keen sense of humanity and that the title told me I might be in for a bit of a ride. I opened the book as I would a door, but in observation, not in experience mode. It happened quickly – I actually skipped around at first, “cheating.” Each Poem, titled, was intriguing in its simplicity, and reminded me of things I had felt but could not put into words.

After a time, I decided to start at the beginning. I rarely do this, but with this book, I started it, and stopped as I closed the last page.

This book is for everyone. I now consider it a Handbook of Life. One of a rare few I consider so very important. It is already “dog-eared”, although I bought it only a short time ago. And yes, I bought it while in the middle of several major life changes. I showed it to people on a plane, I read it to family over the phone, I showed it to friends in my new home.

I am really reluctant to describe it, but here is what I would say. This is a way to look at the world, life, being a human being, with grace, calm, beauty, and yet with no filters or masks, stripped down and bare honest.

I was left feeling wonderful, emotional, humbled beyond words, and with an intense desire to be a better person, more productive, more loving, more giving, more balanced. I read it often if I “fall.” It always sets me straight again.

In all truths – I see this as a once in a lifetime experience – there is no other like it, and no other can replace it. Please, buy this book, share it, or its messages. The world and everyone on it will be better for it.

I am grateful to have had the chance to read this book and to know the author enough to be proud to know her.
