While You Sleep

While you sleep, I lie awake,
Writing away the night.
While you sleep, I’ll guide your dreams,
Make sure you’re sleeping tight.
While you sleep, I’ll think of you,
And hopefully you’ll think of me.
While you sleep, I’ll watch the moonrise,
Wishing that I could be free.
While you sleep, my lids will get heavy,
And I will sleep too.
While you sleep, I want you to know,
That I’ll be dreaming of you.
