do you hear a calling,
through the darkness of the night.
For the full moon is falling,
from its everlasting flight,
though I know the sun is burning,
I do not see its light.
I can feel the world turning,
but something isn’t right.

Smoke clouds the sky
as life below flees.
I hear the animals cry,
as humans tear down trees.
Tears roll down my face,
as I drop to my knees.
Such a beautiful place,
don’t destroy it please.

Tear apart my fantasy,
along with my dreams.
welcome to reality,
greeted with tortured screams.
Just another catastrophe,
everything is fine
just let the world be,
then maybe the sun will shine.
