In a country where rich people love their pets more than their own children, we often hear about wills that bequeath whole estates to animals and their caretakers. Usually, the estranged relatives who have been cut out of the will are there immediately to sue for the whole estate, claiming that the staff and the animal caretakers took advantage of the elderly millionaire.
Today, we are looking at the surreal case of a chihuahua who inherited nearly all of an estate of a Florida millionaire. Her son, who was given one million dollars is now suing the bodyguards and the pet's carers for having influenced his late mother to change her will in 2008 to leave them with millions to care for the dog and the ability to live in the mansion and a neighboring house rent free. The female chihuahua is the proud owner of a $15,000 Cartier diamond necklace which she refuses to wear. Millionaire Gail Posner died in March at the age of 67. She leaves 11 million dollars to Conchita, her chihuahua. Conchita will live in an 8 million dollar mansion with full staff, her wardrobe for every season, and the other pieces of her diamond jewelry collection.
