Grace And Splendor

The evergreen tall trees
along the fence bending
delicately in the falling rain,
seem to thank the Creator

for sending forth showers of charity
after days of scorching summer heat.
The long-stemmed, scented lilies,
jasmine and gardenia clad in white,

crimson roses with exquisitely-drawn
whorls on soft velvety petals, posies,
pansies and forget-me-nots, dew-kissed,
alluring numerous eye-catchers in an array

of soothing hues, and pleasing perfume
swaying gently to the lilt of a soft wind
dance their tribute to our Father in Heaven
for keeping hope ever enkindled on planet Earth.
