~ Chapter 1: The Note ~

Hello! I’m Shortina and I’m here to tell you of a little adventure my friends and I had! It was quite exiting! It is a tale of combat till the death, magic, and of the other wonderful things that we learned on our comfortless journey. My friends’ names are Catina, Tumblina, Frogy, and Cotty. Out names are very different but they each tell about ourselves, and our personal power. My friends and I live in the marvelous Cloud City. I don’t have a clue as to why they call it that. I think my ancestors named after some prophecy, a prophecy that was given by the gods themselves.

The prophecy said that there was a city that had been chosen to live in the clouds and when the city and its people were lifted to the cloud, the people of the city would adapt instantly to their new environment (by sprouting wings but this was un none until the moment it happened). But before the chosen city could be raised up into the clouds it had to prove itself worthy of living in the clouds. It was also said that even if a few people did something heroic then, as long as everyone cherished the day and event of the deed, that city would be raised into the clouds. So thinking that our city was the “chosen city” our ancestors named it Cloud City! But enough of this dreadful history lesson lets began my amazing story of my friends and I.

We were sitting in our clubhouse; well actually it was an abandoned shack on the edge of the jungle that was over grown with vines and other tropical plants. It was so overgrown that we had found it on accident. We had decided to go for a walk in the jungle. As we walked towards the jungle (we never arrived to it) Tumblina ran right into a hill, or so we thought it was a hill!

“Ouch, that hurt a lot,” Tumblina, complained! “What did I tumble into?”

“I have no…” Frogy stopped in the middle of his sentence, a thing he never does unless something is wrong or when he is astonished.

“ What’s wrong,” I asked, worriedly?

“Look at that,” Cotty exclaimed! We all looked in astonishment as we looked at we had thought was a hill but what now appeared to be an abandoned shack! The only way we could tell it was a shack was because Tumblina had knocked the door open when she rolled into it. So know here we are in our clubhouse.

“SHORTINA, if you cannot put down your pencil and your journal I am going to have to ask you to leave,” Catina shouted at me! She was our leader. She loved cats and is as mean as the meanest tomcat. She was a real brat and always had to be in charge. At least that’s my opinion.

“I suspect you haven’t the slightest idea as to what we are here to discus!” She was right I didn’t know what we were supposed to be talking about. Its because I like to right things down to keep a journal of what has happened to me, my friends, and Catina.

“Well I’ll tell you what we are meeting about,” she screamed! “Its about this letter, which I was about to read to you all.” This is what the letter she read said:

Dear Children,
I know of your morphing powers so I must inform you of what is about to happen. This city is in danger. The evil trio, Witch Fanny, Suffenia the Sorceress, and Ronty the Wizard have come to capture are beautiful cloud city. You four are our only hope. As the prophecy says: “There will come a time when Cloud City will be endangered. The five youth, named after one major characteristic, will be Cloud City’s only hope.” Will you save our city or will you stand by and watch it crumble? Our city’s future is in your hands! So I must beg you to help us! Please come to our aid! If you will help us then meet me under the oak tree, in Ricky Park, tonight at 12:30pm, sharp!

Mayor Tittlewinkle

I am sorry for not telling you sooner about our powers. The truth is that we are the Morphing Kids. You see all of our names have something to with what we morph into. I, Shortina, morph into a dwarf (a dwarf is short) that cannot be killed. I throw long poisonous spears at my foes. The spears instantly kill who ever their poisons tip pierces. Tumblina turns into a huge iron ball (a ball tumbles) with spikes. This method is to either squash you or to stab you. Frogy is able to morph into a huge poisonous frog. The frog he morphs in is the same as a poisons dart frog but more so. Then there is Cotty. He changes into a huge ball of cotton candy (cotton Cotty get it?) and anyone who is touched is instantly dissolved, quite a dissolve-o-tron. And last but not least, unless you ask me, there is Catina. She turns into a monstrous female lion with everything, and anything, proof skin and very sharp teeth. So those are our powers. We had never known why we had these powers until now.

After Catina finished reading the letter everyone just sat quietly, very quietly. The only noise was the sound of the wind blowing through the jungle. No one dared to speak, fearing that they may speak the wrong words. Then Tumblina dared to speak.

“What should we do?” she asked. “Should we or should we not go at 12:30?”

“It is the question we all have,” I stated simply.

“Yes it is the question, but it needs to be answered,” Frogy said. “I personally believe we should go!” We all nodded our agreement and the meeting was augured.

“See u all tonight at 12:30,” I yelled over my shoulder as I headed for home. Boy I thought what an exciting day. I can’t wait until to night. I arrived home and waited for the moment of destiny, the moment we would all go to the park and meet Mayor Tittlewinkle and learn of the evil happenings.

~ Chapter 2 The Meeting ~

It was 12:20 pm when I finally snuck out of my house. It was very difficult to get out any sooner because my family stays up so late on Friday nights. This time they stayed up even later then usual. I was so nervous for I had never snuck out of the house before. I was also getting worried that I would fall asleep and not be able to go to the meeting, which wouldn’t have been good. Why does it seem that whenever you need to do something with out your parents knowing something happens that fouls you up so it seems like you are going to miss whatever’s happening? Anyways, I left them a note saying where I was going incase I didn’t come back home. I prayed that I would.

I arrived at the old oak tree at 12:25. Tumblina, Catina, and Frogy, were already there. As I sat down I could see that Cotty had almost arrived.

“Hi guys,” I exclaimed to my friends as I sat down. I sat down next to Tumblina for she was mymost dear and precious friend whom I knew would always be their for me and I for her, till the day we died, no matter what happened

“Hi,” Tumblina Catina, and Frogy chorused together.

I smiled as I looked at my friends ,except Catina but still I smiled to her anyway. What friends, I thought to myself, no one could be better then these.

“Look, here’s Cotty. Hi Cotty”, Tumblina said.

“Hey everyone,” Cotty said in his usual happy tone.

It was 12:30 when a man dressed in dark clothing came up to us. He was tall and skinny. He wore a dark wide hat and a dark suit. He had a handlebar mustache, which he took much pride in. He was a man we knew only by his TV shows as Mayor Tittlewinkle.

“Hello,” he said. His voice sounded high, yet I remembered it as being low, deep voice on the television, such strange thing our great technology can do. “You must be the Morphing Kids! I’m so glad you came.” He drowned on and on about how glad he was to see us and that his rejoiced that we were there, until it seemed that we would go insane.

“Please Mayor Tittlewinkle, I don’t want to be rude or anything, but please get to the point,” Froggy said, rather annoyedbut you couldn’t blame him Mayor Tittlewinkle was quite a boring speaker.

We were so happy that someone said something. We were, by that point, on the very edge on insanity.

“ Yes, yes please forgive me. I tend to get off the subject a lot. But I know you will be able to forgive me because you are such wonderful children. So will you please forgive me, will you please, will you forgive me please,” Mayor Tittlewinkle exclaimed.

“Mayor Tittlewinkle,” I shouted at the top of my lungs.

“Ok, the point is that Cloud City is in need of your mighty help! Our city depends on you! Since you agreed to help us, I will tell you everything I know”, Mayor Tittlewinkle said quietly. He pulled out a package containing tons of reports and pictures of the deadly trio.

“This”, he said, pointing to a picture of an ugly, hunched back old woman, “is Witch Fanny! She is the most wicked of the Deadly Trio, but she is not the most powerful. The most powerful of all in the Deadly Trio is Ronty the Wizard.” Tittlewinkle pulled out a picture of an old man with wrinkles. He wore a deep blue cape. The cape was so deep and dreary that it seemed as though his evil flowed through the threads. Ronty had a beard so white that it was to white. It seemed as though his deceitful evilness flowed also in his hair.

“Ronty may be powerful,” Tittlewinkle continued, but he is not the most annoying of all the Deadly Trio. Suffenia the Sorceress is. She is an expert at luring ferries and capturing them. She then turns them over to Ronty the Wizard, their leader.” Mayor Tittlewinkle also went on to tell us where the Deadly Trio was staying. “They’re in the High Ridge Cave,” Mayor Tittlewinkle told us. He also showed us where High Ridge cave was on a map. Marked it and gave it to us along with the other things he showed us.

“Study these closely before going to meet the Deadly Trio. There is a lot more information that I didn’t show you that is self-explanatory,” Mayor Tittlewinkle said. “Good luck and…thanks!” With that he got up and left.

~ Chapter 3: The Preparation ~

“This information is real vague,” Froggy said rather bluntly. “All of the pieces I’ve read pretty much say the same thing over end over.

“Yep I know its like nobody ever lived to tell of their adventure they had had dealing with the Deadly Trio,” I said. At that I saw all of my friends staring at me blankly. Then, at that moment, I realized that I had said a bad thing.

“O looky here,” Tumblina exclaimed! It was obvious that she was trying to get out dreary thought out of our minds. “I’ve found something new! It says that the Deadly Trio have helpers called the Villarfs and that if you kill the red one a curse will be lifted but it doesn’t say what curse! That’s all it says about them, there’s no picture or nothing in here.”

“Well I guess we learned everything we can. We had better go home and tell our folks the news. Then be sure to pack some food and then go to bed so that you can get a good nights rest. We will be leaving 7:30 am sharp. Don’t be late,” ordered Catina! We then all left the clubhouse with different thoughts in our heads about the journey that was ahead of us!

Being as though it was dinnertime when I got home, I eminently had dinner. I was quiet all through it. Then finally I got up the nerve to tell my parents the news.

“Mom Dad, I’m leaving in the morning. I know this sounds funny but Cloud City is in trouble, and me and the other four members of my club are the only ones who are able to save the city.” As I looked at my parents they seemed as though they had already known what I had told them.

“We have known, ever sense you were born, that one day you would have to do something like this! We had you in an unusual way. We had gone to a party, us and four other couples, and each couple was given a necklace the wife had to wear. After wearing it for a while I had you. We had been told to name you the name that was written on the back of the necklace and so you were named Shortina and the others were named their names. We also now of your powers. It was quite a shock when we had been told you had them, but we are glad it’s you and your friends who are saving Cloud City. I’m glad because then we can rest easy knowing that the city is in good hands,” my mother said before rushing to her room with her head in her hands sobbing.

“I guess I had better be getting to bed,” I stated rather stupidly. So I went up to my room and wrote a letter telling my parents, more in depth, of what was happening. I also explained how much I loved them and that I wished for them to tell Grandma and Grandpa the news.

The next morning I was up and ready for the day. I put my note on the nightstand in my room, took a shower, ate, dressed, packed food and other necessities, and then I was off. I went to our clubhouse and arrived at 7:30 am.

“Oh good you made it! Now we can leave! Is everyone ready,” asked Catina? We all nodded and so we headed off towards High Ridge Cave unknowing of what adventures lay before us!

~ Chapter 4: The Battle With the Villarfs ~

It was our third day on the trail when the Villarfs attacked. They are, I found out later, Dwarf that had been captured and cursed by the evil Ronty the Wizard. They had been cursed into Villarfs to do Ronty’s dirty work. We also learned that Villarfs is short for Villain Dwarfs. But all we new of them when they attacked was that we needed to kill the Red villarf.

We had bee packing our camp supplies when the Villarfs attacked. We morphed, into our battle creatures, as soon as we saw them. We went threw the battle lines of the Villarfs like a hot knife goes through butter.

“Coty, Tumblina you guys go first. Your powers are the best for this job,” Catina shouted. So off went Cotty and Tumblina out in front of us, Cotty dissolving them while Tumblina poked and squashed them, while the rest of us fought the people who came from the sides. In this form we went threw the Villarfs battle lines one by one. Then all of the sudden the Villarfs all drew back and stepping forward came the Red Villarf.

“Name Morphing Kids, have your best fighter come forward and fight me. Then if you win you may proceed on with your journey, but if I win then you must bow down to the Deadly Trio and forever do as they tell you. I will give you ten minutes to decide on my foe. Choose wisely!”

We all grouped in a huddle to discuss whom we wanted to send. Then Catina made the mistake of asking the question we all wanted an answer to.

“So whom should we send to fight that guy,” she asked? At that we all started talking at ounce, I must confess I also engaged in this childish act.

“STOP,” Froggy shouted, “Were never going to get any progress if we keep this up! What we should do is go around and each of us tells his or her opinion of what we should do! Catina you start.” So around we went in a circle telling why it should be us (I also said it should be me). Then it was Froggy’s turn to tell his opinion. It was the best one. One reason I thought it was the best was because his idea wasn’t why he should go.

“Here’s what I think we should do. We should tell that Villarf that he has to fight all of us, and that is the only way for him to give us to the Deadly Trio! You see there is no way he can get around it!” We all agreed that that would be the best idea!

“Times up,” boomed the Red Villarf! “It is now time for our fight. Who have you chose to fight?”

“We have chosen that you must fight us all,” Catina boomed with her iron voice.

“Fine, have it your way,” Red Villarf said with a sly smile. “But since I must fight all of you, you must fight all of us! Attack them fellow Villarfs, attack them!” The Villarfs rushed towards us at Red Villarf’s command.

Shortina and Tumblina, you guys go for Red Villarf while the rest of us fight the other Villarfs,” Catina barked at us. We fought our way to the Red Villarf, Tumblina and I, while the others fought the other Villarfs. We finally got to be we could get at the Red Villarf. WE circled him as watched our every move. Then I faked an attack, which he responded to with to with a quick protection move with his sword. Then, while he was distracted, Tumblina rolled over him, making him deader than a doornail.

Then all at once the Villarfs stopped fighting. All was quiet. Then, as quickly as they had stopped, a great shout went up through them. Then one Villarf stepped forward.

“Oh a thank you O great child for your courage has broken our spell. We were once in bondage to Ronty the Wizard but since you have killed the Red Villarf we are released from Ronty’s command. We will do anything for you, you are now our master. Tell us what you wish us to do,” the Villarf said.

We all huddled together to decide what we should do with them.

“I think we should use them to help us fight the deadly trio,” Froggy said.

“I believe that we should let them go to live their lives of normal dwarfs. They have had enough battling in their lives,” I said. “Do you agree?” Everyone expressed that we should do as I said.

“OK, Villarf, since we are your masters, we have decided what your first task shall be,” I said.

“We command you to go to your homes and to live ordinary lives. You have been fighting other people’s wars for too long, so we command you that if you have to fight a war let it be yours, not someone else’s. So do this, be thrown off this cliff,” Tubling boomed at them.

“We shall do as you have told us to, but remember, if you are ever in trouble just say: Fugoonday’ and we will appear with out a moment’s hesitation to help you in your time of trouble,” the Dwarf said! So off they fled as soon as the Dwarf had finished talking.

“I’m going to miss them,” Cotty said with a sigh.

“Me, too,” Catina said as a tear ran down her cheek. “Me, too.”

~ Chapter 5: Witch Fanny ~

It was two days after the battle that an unpleasant visitor awakened us.

“Wake up, me dears,” came the unpleasant voice of non other than Witch Fanny. “Hello, my dears. I’m here to prevent you from going to High Ridge Cave.”

“Oh, really,” Catina said. “Then I guess you’re in for a war between us and you! Oh, by the way, we can’t die unless we want to die.”

“I know of that fact, but still it does not mean that you cannot be put under a spell, does it not,” Witch Fanny said with a sly smile on her face.

“So, fight us! We will see who the winner is,” I shouted, us my friends and I started to change our shape. Within seconds we were fully changed,

With that the battle engaged. We battled hours dodging her, fighting back. As I looked upon my fellow soldiers, I knew that we were worn out. It was too soon to fight another battle after the battle we had just fought. We were all wear, and we all knew it, and so did Witch Fanny. Then I had the most wonderful idea!

I called out to Witch Fanny, “We are weary and we know it and you know it, so pleas grant us to rest up for the day and continue this battle tomorrow! Will you please grant us this wish?”

“I shall have pity upon my enemy! I will grant you your wish. This battle shall be delayed until tomorrow, rest and rest well,” Witch Fanny told us. I was surprised that she said yes after all she’s supposed to be wicked. Unless she has come up with an evil plan in order to capture us for her veil doings! Oh well, I had a little plan of my own fixed up to surprise her!

“I’m glad you spoke up when you did, Shortina. I doubt I could’ve lasted another hour out there without passing out! I really appreciate it.” Cotty told me when Witch Fanny left and we had settled in comfortable places.

“I have a plan as to how we may overcome Witch Fanny,” I said to my friends. They all leaned in wanting to hear more! “I think that one of us should go in front of her and tell her that we are going to take turns in fighting her. Meanwhile, though, the rest of us will sneak around behind her and when she least expects it, we’ll give her a surprise and attack her from the rear! That is what I think we should do!”

‘Yes, I agree that that is what we should do! I think that Shorting has a good idea;” Catina exclaimed. “What do you all think?” Everyone all chimed in their agreement and that they thought that I had a good idea! At that point, I felt a soothing splash of pride come over me and I felt all warm inside!

The next morning…

Froggy stepped to the battle line facing Witch Fanny. She looked even more ugly than she had the day before.

“Where is the rest of your little group,” Witch Fanny asked?

“We have decided that you shall fight one of us at a time therefore we shall not tire as fast and so I say let the battle begin.” Froggy croaked, for he was in his frog form. So the battle began, never did it cease as Froggy took hits, dodged hits, and gave hits. Suddenly from behind Witch Fanny, the rest of us came striking a pound Witch Fanny. Then someone or something struck Witch Fanny and she suddenly fell to the ground and an instant later she suddenly exploded quite raunchy! Pieces flew, but they weren’t normal pieces of flesh, instead they were rocks with sharp edges! Amazingly, her body changed into rock! We all dove for cover from the flying debris, but the unfortunate Cotty wasn’t fast enough. As he tried to get cover, but a piece of rock struck his leg, leaving a huge gash that ran from his ankle up to his knee, also raunchy. We had killed Witch Fanny, but poor Cotty had been seriously injured.

~ Chapter 6: The Healing ~

“Oh no! What an unfortunate thing! How badly does it ache?” I asked.

“Oh, the pain is great! I believe that…if I don’t get help…soon the I…will die,” Cotty barely said. We decided to talk of what to do when Cotty fell asleep.

“Cotty’s leg is really bad. He doesn’t think he will live. Does anyone have an idea that may help save Cotty?” Tumblina asked with a worried glance over at Cotty. We all sat in silence for none of us had a single idea as to what to do. Suddenly Froggy jumped up.

“I know what we can do! We should have thought of this sooner. Why don’t we call the Dwarfs and ask them for help, he exclaimed. We all nodded in agreement and asked him to hurry in doing so. “Fagoonday,” he shouted and within two seconds the dwarfs speared before us.

“What is your want? Why have you called us? How may we aid you?” Asked the lead dwarf.

“You may assist us in helping us heal Cotty. He has been terribly cut while fighting Witch Fanny. Can you help him? We don’t have the slightest idea as to what to do.” I said worriedly.

“Oh, this is terrible news. We must take him to our village immediately or he will soon die,” the dwarf said and with a few magic words we swept to a village on the top of a hill.

“Come quickly we must hurry to the Hospital Hut and be quick or your friend will die,” said the lead dwarf. The dwarf led them many streets before finally reached the Hospital Hut. As we entered the hut, we could tell that we were the first patients since they had been captured. They could tell everything was covered with dust about an inch thick. Also there were cobwebs in every place possible. “Quick! We have a emergency,” Froggy yelled. Immediately a nurse came running.

“Quick, follow me,” the nurse said. She took us on a bed where we laid Cotty. “Let me see that gash. Wow, it’s deep. I’m going to need the rest of you guys to help me. You,” she said pointing to Tumblina, “go and boil a huge tub of water and you,” she said pointing to me, “go and get some of the hydrogen peroxide so we can get this cut cleaned and then you,” she said pointing to Catina, “ you go with her to get the hydrogen peroxide, but also get some clean bandages back there. Now I’m going to need you young man,” she said pointing at Froggy, “to help me hold my patient so that he doesn’t hurt himself more. Now you girls be off and do as I told you.” So off we went. Tumbling went to the kitchen to start boiling a pot while Catina and I went back to the storage room where we were supposed to get the hydrogen peroxide and clean bandages. I started walking so I could get the bandages and hydrogen peroxide and then get back to Cotty.

“Hurry up Catina! We need to hurry as so we can get this stuff back in time,” I shouted at her.

“Don’t have to tell me twice,” she snapped back. I couldn’t be mad though after all we all were really nervous, worrying about Cotty’s life.

When we got to the storage room it only took a few seconds to find the bandages, but the hydrogen peroxide was hidden. We looked on several shelves. Finally after ten minutes of searching in every nook and cranny, we finally found what we were looking for.

“Come on, let’s go,” I said. We rushed to where the nurse and Cotty were.

“Sorry we took so long, but it took awhile to find the hydrogen peroxide,” I explained.

“That’s OK, girls, now why don’t you girls go help the other girl boil the water. Don’t come out her until I call you, OK,” she told us.

“’K,” we chorused. So we went to the back where Tumbling was boiling some water.

“Hey, how’s it going? The nurse said not to go over to where they are until she calls,” Catina told her.
“Strange, I wonder why she doesn’t want us to be out there,” she asked us and then shouting to the nurse she said, “the water has been boiling for awhile would you like us to bring it out?”

“No, you see that bottle by the stove? It has a green substance in it?” she asked.

“Yes I see it. What do you want me to do with it,” Tumblina asked?

“Take it and pour the whole thing into the boiling water. Then stir the solution until it is dissolved. Do that and tell me when it’s done,” she said.

So Tumblina poured the green solution into the boiling water then stirred it as it dissolved.

“I wonder how long we’re going to have to stay here before we can continue on our mission,” I asked out loud.

“You know if Cotty has to rest up for a long time, then I think we should leave him here.” Tumbling suggested. “What do you think?” Catina and I both told her that that was a good idea. “Thanks well tell the boys later when this main part is over. Oh, look the water is ready, she said then she turned toward the nurse and shouted, “Do you want the water now?”

“Yes, bring it now,” the nurse said. We watched as she took each bandage and dipped it into the water and the wrapped it around Cotty’s leg. She had cleaned it, we found out later, while we were back boiling the water and Froggy also told us that it was really gross.

“Excuse me, nurse, when is he going to be ready to travel,” Catina asked.

“Oh, not for another week at least,” the nurse answered.

“Do you think we could leave him here and pick him up on the way back?” I asked.

“Why definitely! You could leave him here if that’s what you want to do,” the nurse answered.

“Then I think that’s what we’ll do. Everyone agree? OK, then let’s do that. We’ll be leaving in the morning.”

The next morning…

“OK, is everyone ready to go?” I asked everyone. They all nodded so off we went towards High Ridge Cave and onward to meet our foes.

~Chapter 7: Suffenia the Sorceress and Ronty the Wizard ~

Three days after leaving the dwarf Village was a victorious day. It was the day that we finally defeated our foes once and for all. They attacked us, which is Suffenia and Ronty, in the morning of the day. They appeared from nowhere right after breakfast.

“Been replenished,” Ronty asked?

“Appetite fulfilled,” Suffenia asked?

“Hope so,” they chorused and with that they attacked us. They attacked so quickly that we barely had time to morph into our battle form, we made it but barely.

The battle was fierce. Both sides fought bravely. We weren’t getting tired out as fast as the Battle with Witch Fanney, I noticed as I looked around.

“That is definitely is a good sign,” I said to myself.

Then all of the sudden, out of nowhere came a huge Iron ball or Tumblina rolling straight towards Ronty with full force. At first Ronty looked terrified as though he was going to be squashed then just as we thought he was to be flattened, he simply stepped aside. Then came a huge flash of a long slimy tongue, it was Froggy. Froggy’s tongue hit Ronty on the side of the face leaving that side of his face all red and puffy. He let a roar and started beating the ground with his face. We all, including Suffenia stopped what we were doing and stared at Ronty as he beat the ground and started jumping.

“He’s gone insane. Froggy, your tongue slapped him into insanity. That’s a cool trick,” I exclaimed. “But it is kind of sad that he has to be like that, I should just finish off?”

“Ya, go ahead, he’d be better off that way,” Tumblina told me and everyone else agreed. So I took out one of my spears aimed carefully and killed Ronty, stabbed him right threw the chest. He never had a chance, for he died instantly. Oh well, the end of another victim, we all turned to face Suffenia, but she was no more instead stood a beautiful young maiden.

“Who the heck are you and where did Suffenia go,” Tumblina asked?

“I’m Kertina formerly cursed into Suffenia,” she answered.

~ Chapter 8: Kertina~

“WHAT,” we all asked together?

“I know this is going to sound weird but its true,” Kertina explained. “Back along time ago when I was your age, I still am because I didn’t age in the body of Suffenia, I was playing in a garden and I stopped to pick the most beautiful rose I had ever seen. As I started to pick the rose a voice, coming from the rose, said, ‘Stop, don’t pick me! I will grant you the wish of living young forever, never growing old. Of course I must warn you their may be a few unpleasant side affects, but the choice is yours!’ So being the young girl that I was I took the roses offer, big mistake!! At that instant I was surrounded by smoke and was told that I was a sorceress and that my name was Suffenia and that is how I was cursed and forced to live in the wretched body of Suffenia. I’ve been in the body of Suffenia for a total of 20 years, but I haven’t aged a bit so I am still the young age of 13, and that is why I didn’t argue with you when you wanted to kill Ronty. I wanted you to kill him so that I could be free of his evil ways and to be free of Suffenia! I am grateful for what you have done, Although, I must ask one more favor from you.”

“Anything just ask,” I told her.

“Could you please let me travel with you back to Cloud City? I would appreciate it very much,” Kertina said. “Plus it is my birth place!”

“I think I remember my mother telling me a story of a girl who mysteriously disappeared. and now here I am standing faced to with her! But of course you can come! We’ll be leaving first thing in the morning,” Catina said. So exhausted as we were we fell asleep not waking until late morning the next day.

We left quickly so that we could get Cotty in at the most two days. We did a good job of keeping the pace fast because we were not being as careful as we had been on the way here.

We reached Dwarf Village in exactly two day, just as planned. When we got inside the village, we were greeted by non other then Cotty himself. His leg was mostly healed and so we were able to leave as soon as he packed his belongings and said good-bye to his friends in Dwarf Village, for he had made many. It seemed as though the whole village came to see him off. I watched in wonder remembering the time when these people had been our foes but any person would now think that we had been friends for an eternity.

~ Chapter 9: Cloud City ~

It took us another two days to reach Cloud City. It had never looked better than it did when we walked in to the city that day.
“We’re home,” we shouted. “Yeah!” As we entered the gates we were welcomed with shouts and gifts from the people in Cloud City. As we all were celebrating, the earth began to shake and then our city started rising and us with it. Then just as quickly as Cloud City rose, everyone fell to the ground screamed then got back up with a pair of beautiful wings so that we could fly.
I soared the area looking for my parents and I found them way of on the outside of the crowds.
“Hey Kertina, do you have a mom and dad,” I asked her.
“No, I was taken from a orphanage,” she answered.
“OK, then please come with me,” I told her.
“Why?”
“You’ll see.”
“Hey mom, Hey dad.” I said to them as we embraced warmly. “Hey do you guys want another daughter being as mom can’t have any more children,” I asked them?
“Who may I ask would we be taking in?”
“It would be this wonderful girl, also my friend, named Kertina. She lived in an orphanage when she was cursed and forced to work for the evil Ronty, but we broke the curse when we killed him. So can I have a sister?”
“Sure, we’ll take her.”
“Would you like to be my sister,” I asked Kertina.
Definitely! Always and forever!”
And so Cloud City and its citizens lived in peace and harmony for the rest of Cloud City’s existence. Also, Kertina loved her new family and lived wonderfully with them and every one else lived wonderfully with their families.
