Intertwining Branches
A love poem set in an orchard, likening lovers to two trees.

Side by side in the similar rows
Of well-tended trees.
Peering out amongst the fruit-bearing groves,
We watch the empirical, resonating sun
Cast its glorious eyes on the expansive terrain,
While our closely linked movements
Criss-cross the dense earth.
We shall see the gathering of the moon and stars
Each blissful night spent in this peaceful oasis,
And remark with cognizant and dutiful clarity
The wet, delicate fall of rain enlivening
Our blooming branches,
As the seasons mark a shapely and timely change
Of life’s windswept and magical fortunes,
In our widely sown and colorful orchard…
