Mantra



The flowing water wears the rock.
Not strength but patience wins the day.
Determination is the way;
no need to run when you can walk.

Each day a challenge seems to block
the path but I won’t go astray.
The rushing water wears the rock.
Not strength but patience wins the day.

To find contentment, watch the clock
as minutes pass and fears allay,
you’ll find there is peace in each day.
My mantra’s in each tick, each tock.
The flowing water wears the rock.

Form: Rondel
The Rondel is a French form consisting of 13 lines: two quatrains and a quintet, rhyming as follows: ABba abAB abbaA. The capital letters are the refrains, or repeats. There is no set meter but typically is written in octameter or pentameter.
