This item requires reviews with ratings.
Prompt:

Tri-fall
The Tri-fall, created by Jan Turner, consists three 6-line stanzas, for a total of 18 lines.
The rhyme scheme is a,b,c,a,b,c and meter for each stanza is as follows: 6/3/8, 6/3/8.
This form requires little to no punctuation and can be written on any subject matter.

(Author's note: To set up the following poem properly, picture a hot-shot college architectural student. The guy never gets out much, is a real bookworm - straight A's all the way - and knows architecture inside-out. About to graduate, the guy finally decides to take a day to relax and goes to the beach. He sees a young kid playing in the sand, and is both surprised and a bit angered when the kid challenges him to a game of combat: the kid's toy boat vs. whatever fortress the guy can make. He quickly reveals to the kid what he knows about architecture - and what he doesn't about the gravitational pull of the moon).

The Trojan Tide

By Indelibleink

a brash young architect
never wrong
enjoys his first day at the beach
a little boy plays near
hums a song
there might be a lesson to teach!

the boy calls to the man
and then soon
learns how to shake the man's rattle
"A small war is my plan -
bet your dune
against my boat is no battle!"

using graduate skills
builds a fort
that will withstand any attack
but the man soon has chills -
no retort -
the tide claims its silica back!
