OLD MEMORIES

I can’t forget the days when
Blood flowed hot in my veins.
Just to have a glimpse of you,
I spared not any pains.

I would stroll for hours in
The busy market street,
Hoping that you come shopping
And by chance we could meet.

I remember the movie
Where first time we had gone.
There in the dark I held you
And the whole world was blown.

Those were the days when courtship
Did not know mobile phone.
Life was not so fast, for hours,
We used to pine and moan.

Gone are you and those days too,
But their memories still
Come to me when I’m alone
And my eyes, with tears, fill.
