The Heart of the Matter
Seeing isn't always believing

This item requires reviews with ratings.
The eyes, the virtual lens,
were meant for seeing,
looking, peering -
inspecting the world
as it appears
and bringing bits of that world
into the self.
Seeking reality.

The heart, the emotional haven,
was meant for feeling,
sensing, believing –
caressing the world
as a place of wonder
and bringing bits of that world
into the self.
Seeking ecstasy.

The eyes see the flower,
a bud exploded,
the seed as a flower that’s died.
The heart sees the flower,
a token of love,
the seed as a future new life.

I'll cede to the Isle of the seed.
