Part 2

Rewrite the following sentences by adding adjectives and adverbs. Below your sentence, show the word you used, whether it is an adjective or adverb, and what it modifies.

1. He ran quickly home.
Quickly is an adverb that modifies the verb ran.

2. They did math homework.
Math is an adjective that modifies the noun homework.

3. The blue bird flew.
Blue is an adjective that modifies the noun bird.

4. The cars crashed recklessly.
Recklessly is an adverb that modifies the verb crashed.

5. The young girl skipped.
Young is an adjective that modifies the noun girl.
