We were warned
This day would come
When lies, deceit, and truth are one
Friends and enemies
One in the same
Life and death
A treacherous game
We did not listen
The sources suspect
Names and places
We didn’t respect
Yet we were wrong as wrong could be
The future of fools we’re left to see
