a poem about deceit

Chameleon

Hoping for today
The journey is long
Coping with today
And I’m all alone

I raise my eyes
I raise my glass
A little more sunshine
More tears in the past

Comfort in my spotted sadness
Identity is lost
Shameless in my masked madness
But, oh what the cost

I fit inside so easily
I smile as though I’m sick
I feel I’m somewhat sleazy
My fractured life, this is it
