Determined, We Shall
Between the simpler, mundane lines of life, Potential for a world of hurt awaits. Horizons rimmed with tragedy and strife So often rise to take our pleasure's place. With nought but courage left to steer the soul Our aching hearts shed tears to rival rain. Despite surviving, shattered, unconsoled, We pray for strength to suffer through the pain. The songs of Angels echo in my ears. Determined, we shall love him til the end. And though I know his soul soars far from here We cast my father's ashes to the wind.
