“Fred.”

“I’m busy, Deborah.”

Sadly, she began to walk away.

“Happy Birthday, my love!”

Stunned, she turned to see a mischievous smile on Fred’s lips and a ring box in his hand.

“Oh, Fred! I thought you’d forgotten.”
