Personal diary…Doctor John Tibbins…entry 2178.  Today’s mock run virtually assures success.  The simulation ran perfectly…as predicted.

Tomorrow we change the world.  Tomorrow, we begin a new era of Man.

End personal diary…Doctor John Tibbins…October, sixteen, twenty sixty-nine.

Personal diary…Doctor John Tibbins…entry last.  This is my final entry into a diary I have diligently kept for the last ten years.

For my family and friends and all those who have believed in me and supported me I made this recording.  On you I have relied.  Many times I could have lost faith in myself but for you.

Science is never stagnant.  Science must always move forward.  Since the beginning, Man has had that need to know, to discover and to learn.  Those detractors of my work, those claiming my science to be a threat to mankind shall soon know a future no longer limited by dwindling energy supplies.  No longer will we scratch the Earth in search of coal.  No longer shall we puncture the Earth, fracture the Earth looking for oil.  We will no longer pollute the sky and waters of our planet.

After thirty-five long, arduous years of searching, experimenting, building and rebuilding I conclude my work this day.  Today, I give to the world unlimited power.

I have never considered myself to be a man given to a preponderance of ego.  I do not believe I am a vain man; still, I cannot help but feel satisfaction knowing my name will soon top the list of the greatest scientists of all times.

I have thoroughly documented and catalogued all my research.  Nothing is left but to close the switch.

Today I give to the world the ‘Tachyon Wave.’

For the first time in my life I can say that I am truly...happy.

End personal diary…Doctor John Tibbins…October, seventeen, twenty sixty-nine.
