. . .
Remember When the twilight age dawns golden for me, and you; Remember when we're both old, with living too. Life teased with joy; a story waged true. Where the rain fell hard, life soaked our shoes. Fine time past, known now through love, deep blues'. Sworn to each, we would pass arm in arm. Longing past passage, never could age do you harm. I closed the windows, and pulled tight the blinds. I pour a drink to coax memories of those gentle times. When a smile, a touch, brought warmth to life's rhyme. Remembering moments you were held in my arms, Would that angels have but a thimble of your charm. In dull understanding my heart beats quickly in praise; Realizing gladness, I'd been blessed to live in your sun those days. Your gift, your beautiful self, my mind overcome by your grace. Giving closeness, bound us together, fine tuned, loves mates. Whirling soared heights, far out of sight, I take my last sip, and dream. Eternal life bound us together; though alone, love stays.
