Hoping and Receiving (a sonnet)
so this is my sonnet of the hopeful freshmen at school

Around the labyrinth of school we walk
On seeing him my heart connect beat fine.
In class is when we get the chance to talk
The looks of question from his eyes to mine
I wonder if he feels the way I feel
But it's the face that's difficult to read
He must know that my heart is his to steal
But is my heart the one that he would need?
Confessions of his love, I am the one
In his life I'm to play a vital role
The joys we have beam out just like the sun
He sees beyond my face into my soul
Once wishing that he might just look my way
I now know that he's in my life to stay.
