Caring
the feeling you get when your family is unraveling

You’re not loving you’re lying, you’re losing control.
You are fake, feigning repentance for forgiveness.
I’m not going to grant graces for groveling
I was told saying sorry simply stated that,
You’d try better the next time and improve your mistakes
Is there any improvement? I wish to shout out.
Can you comprehend changing? Caring? Showing compassion?
My life’s all a wreck now and you are to blame.
The pieces lay prostrate, profoundly alone.
And you –you try to tell me you still care deep down.
But those are you’re words your actions tell different
You are out of my life now I hope it’s for good
No more making memories of merriness or mirth
Maybe someday I’ll smile or sweet sayings will sound out
From my heart that now hates, is hurting and hardly hoping.
If I’m angry or sad it’s not your shoulder I need
You can’t do the healing; you’re the one who made it bleed
