Like a beggar with a broken stick
As in the wind to fly away The strange sound I knew his kind That wild voice calling me The dancing flame fierce a spark, Your phantom fading now Dying in a mountain of memories The canyons of your mind Silken shaded deep the shadow Hidden in a forest to peep - The color of the moon to dream Her golden ringlets dancing Waving fiery streamers in delight Stars upon the horizon Singing sweetly the first Amen, Angel arms around me My fear of failure in their hands No matter how dark The night will see the morning On my pillow of hope - A heavy heart upon a breast God of all comfort there In a new mountain of memories Praying on my knees Lost to the devil burning in fire, Seeing me his beggar The man without a broken stick Walking upright in faith Running into a new valley below Singing songs of holiness. Heavenly Angels smiling now Bowing on knees to pray For the lost and lonely souls Gathered together there Saved from that lonely road of hell!
