Crumbling
some prose done in writing class that i am quite fond of.

Crumbling before my very eyes,
the foundations that supported it worn away by neglect.
The walls that shaped it finally fell from the weight.
The elements ravaged the outside,
it kept its glorious form until the very end.
Inside and underneath was next to nothing,
but the people marveled at it for its glorious vision.
It takes only time to make the walls cave in,
And when it finally crumbles, your eyes see nothing,
but the memory and the idea.
Nothing more, nothing less.
Crumbling before my very eyes.
