Tempest

I leave as quickly as I come,
Leaving chaos in my wake.
The world around me ever changed,
Not from me but from my ripple.

It begins as a breeze,
And turns into a gust.
Though nobody reacts,
What harm is a gust?

I turn into a storm,
Threatening with lightning and thunder.
Some heed the warning and take shelter,
But most scoff at my glory and go on.

The winds whip up stronger,
They form a funnel.
Bystanders flee,
And some fools follow.

Instead of wane down,
As most funnels do,
My winds grow yet stronger,
This tempest unconstrained.

With the might of my winds,
More cyclones appear.
They surround me and aid me,
To bring change to this ground.

Then suddenly I’m gone,
No piece of me left.
There’s proof of my actions,
In the rubble around me.

Out of the destruction,
Comes a ray of light.
The evil is gone,
Let good take its place.
