Beyond My Scope of Reason
When untethered I walk...

Beyond My Scope of Reason

I walk; therefore, I am
moving past my point of reference
if out of sight  - that pillar is.
The rigid pile at ocean's edge
whose tie has held me
from water's beguiling depth.
Untethered now, I walk
into the surf which shifts
my vision far beyond
the shore of this reality.
I've time now to see
what is out beyond the sea.
I walk; therefore I am
whatever the sea decrees.
