TO HELL AND BACK
** #1643563 Not An Image ** They stood and raised their right hand, swore to serve and protect our land. Young men and women ready to go where ever they were needed and so, off to war they went. They bid farewell to those loved best, knew in their hearts there was no rest. Weeks of training, no looking back, getting ready to serve, the only fact, and off to war they went. From green fields and skies of blue, they soon saw colors of different hue. Sand and heat was so hard to bear, and the enemies were - everywhere. They had arrived and were at war. Bullets, grenades and explosives claimed the lives of many soldiers. Pick up the fallen and do move on, Innocence of youth surely gone, with the bitter rewards of war. Those who were able to come home had memories of war and felt alone. In years to come, its peace they lack. for they have been to hell and back. They pray for no more war. Countrymom 8/10/10
