If I die today,
I'll die free. If I die tomorrow, I shall never die. If I die yesterday, I'll die with everyone else. If I wake in the morning, I'll do what I do. If I wake in the night, I'll dream while awake. If I never wake, I'll just live the dream. If I live for today, I can't plan for tomorrow. If I live for tomorrow, I can't survive today. If I live for yesterday, I won't go anywhere. If I want freedom, I can't have security. If I want security, I can't have freedom. If I can't have both, I think I'll choose freedom. I choose freedom to secure myself. Freedom to go where I will. Freedom to say what I wish. Freedom to love whom I wish to love. If I love you so, could you love me too? If you love me so, how could I deny you? If there is love, shall we try it together? If I lay undersky at night, will you lay beside me? If I lay undersky at midday, will you lunch with me? If I lay underroof tonight, will you bed with me? If all I have is change, and all you have is stasis, how can either of us live for each other? For stasis and change are freedom and oppression but joined by a hand of peace. If I cook for you, would you eat it? If I wedded you, would you wed me as well? If we live together, will we die together? If I stand for God, will you fall for Him? If I die for love, will you live for love? If I die for life, would you live for death? If I denied the stars, could I accept the clouds? If I loved the rivers, could I hate the glaciers? If I loved the city, could I love the countryside? If my dog were my brother, would you torment it so? If my cats were my sisters, would you ignore them so? If my snakes were myself, would you love them so? If you were my inspiration, would you inspire my awe? If you enthralled me, could you call me? If you entertain me, may I entertain you? How may I live when nothing is there to live for other than to die, and live forever. Forever as either in Paradise, or a Paradise lost?
