“Has the bus been?”
“Yes. We are all stood here with our luggage as a tribute to those brave souls willing to venture on such devices. I swear, there were tears and everything.” “No need to be rude.” “Sarcastic.” “What?” “I was sarcastic not rude. If I were being rude I would have said use your brain, moron, we are all stood here with luggage still waiting on a bus.” “I forgot how pedant you could be, always reminding me I’m not as smart as you.” “Just as you remind me just how smart I am.” “You are putting on a show for these strangers, I understand why, you are insecure.” “I was, insecure that is. I did everything you ever wanted, more if I thought it would please you. But it was never enough. “We were happy.” “You were. To me, as soon as at that ring hit my finger, it was as though I no longer knew you. I was never good enough.” “I said I was wrong.” “Yes you were. The bus is coming in, I have to go.” “That is what I’m saying you don’t have to.” “Yes I do. I told you when we got together I was a one hit wonder, and why. You chose to ignore me.” “This ticket is valid anywhere on my route. I need a destination to put in though.” “Anywhere but here.”
