Contest requirements:
AVERAGE LEVEL -- Word or Picture Prompts Gray Prompt The following words must be in your piece. Please put them in bold or in a different color! Death Madness Security Growth Comfort POEM: must have 10 syllables per line (Line Limit: 30 lines) STORY: up to 1010 words. Finding comfort in the midst of sadness May just be the apex of my madness Death visited here; took one I held dear. I seek solace to fill me with gladness. My refuge in spite of all of this mess Is a false security, I confess-- A tumor whose growth, and presence I loath. The reality is I am depressed. I miss you and the sweet light of your smile; Your caresses and your soft loving style; The touch of your lips; the curve of your hips. You held me closely and kept me beguiled. Oh, my darling, I'll soon follow you there To that dark place where I’ll cease to despair. For I can't go on without you alone. I will be joining you soon, this I swear. 16 lines
