Finding Myself By The Sea I leisurely stroll, The soft sandy shore, And find myself here, Reflecting once more. My life has changed, I’ve lost my way. It’s so hard living, Each day to day. The sea always meant, The whole world to me. I lie here listening, To the pounding sea. The soothing sun and Wind caress my face. My mind drifts away, While here in this place. My troubles fall away, Like leaves from a tree. To be reborn again, Once more I am me. The sea is my strength, And source of my soul. It’s that one true thing, That makes me feel whole. "For whatever we lose, (like a you or a me); It's always our self, we find in the sea." What E.E. Cummings said, It’s so very true. The sea is my solace, And maybe yours too.
