spellbound by those summers of forbidden dreams discovery linked an hourglass to our timid hands and cradled our hearts with the promise of passion the sand was pristine, like the innocence we abandoned in the Mediterranean ebb and flow slowly, we watched the seasons turn to years… afraid of falling, I perched on your ivory pedestal so high I mistook the horizon and your distant shadows we were two men impatient for love’s treasure, yet I never danced alone in your arms’ embrace two men [2010.24.8…a] Tied for Second Place:
