Count: 12 Lines New Prompt! The bakery where the birthday cake you’d ordered weeks ago just burned down. This evening, fifty people are coming to wish your one-hundred-year-old daddy “Happy Birthday.” What are you going to do? (No, you don’t even know how to boil water, so don’t even suggest baking the cake yourself!) THE NOVEL APPROACH! When daddy’s birthday cake burned up when the bake’ry burned down we searched for a nifty new cake by looking through the town! We settled on a fresh approach—a watermelon cake! We only had to buy the fruit, and nails, holes to make. We poked all hundred and one holes right into the green rind— stuck candles right into those holes; the fire-light made us blind! I learned this at a nursing home when we needed to give a party for his mom’s best friend; cause that was where she lived, She was like a grandma to me, I loved her like my own and went to see her ev’ry year til I was well past grown! And so, he liked that melon cake—he said it was the best one he’d that ever had, and we could still feed all the guests!!
