Emptiness

This is the first poem I've written in a long time, so please excuse the roughness of it.

Emptiness

deep down lonely
you really don't know how I feel

the pain I feel
it may be by accident

not a second thought
to the hurt I have inside

go on with your life
as you have now broken mine

sinking down further
is there is no one I can trust

my anchor, my love
sadly isn't my family

turned away without a thought
swept under the proverbial rug

there is nothing left to feel
all hope is replaced with emptiness
