The sunshine outside my window woke me up

a smile lit my face as I remembered the date.

Oh, so the D-day had come!

I moved out of the bed as quietly as I could

but I didn’t hear him and he was nowhere to be seen.

My heart fluttered and I called out in a thin voice.

Another few but I didn’t hear any sound.

And then I knew that it was a game.

I looked behind the door and there he was,

my one year old, my little pug!
