A small transport ship landed on the outskirts of Beijing. Two armored men stepped out, followed by a man wearing a black and red cloak. The cloak man spoke into his comm device. "I have landed in Beijing. What is the status of the others?"
A deep voice crackled through the device. "The others have landed in their designated area. Towo has landed in San Diego, Heret in Rio de Janeiro, and Furo in Moscow. Lolcos and his men are attacking Sydney, while I am attacking Cairo. Have your men begin the attack." The cloaked man looked towards the armored guards. "Are the tanks in position?" "Yes, Eon. They are awaiting orders," one of the guards said. Eon spoke into his comm device. "Commander Nurr. Are the tanks' charges completed?" A voice replied. "Yes. Each tank will be able of blasting 4 shots." "Good. Fire when ready!" In a few minutes, the bright red shots were fired into the most populated city on Earth. Eon and his men charged into the city. Masiyoshi woke up with a severe migraine. He pulled out his sword, and cut a blue fruit off the branch of a nearby tree. He examined it, and decided it was safe to eat, so he walked over to the logs placed near the fire, and ate part of his breakfast. Jan-Dirk Winkler approached him. "We have considered a new tactic that should free Dickson." "They will expect something in exchange. I am viewing my holoreceiver to wait for a message," Masiyoshi replied. After about an hour, Masiyoshi received a message from Commander Kalin, the leader of the base they were near. "Masiyoshi. I assume you already know that James Dickson is being held hostage," Kalin said. Masiyoshi nodded. "What do you want in exchange for him?" Kalin laughed. "You must decide between two things. You can come and free Dickson, or go back to Earth, and defend your planet." "Why would I need to go back to Earth?" Masiyoshi asked. Kalin laughed again. "We are attacking 6 major cities on Earth, each on a different continent. Your race is being wiped out just as we speak!" Masiyoshi glared at Kalin. "What is happening to James?" "He is sitting in a cell, but that will change if you decide to head back to Earth." "I'm certain my men can handle Earth on their own," Masiyoshi proclaimed. "Against all of Project ETHF, Lolcos, and Virolvv?" Kalin asked. Masiyoshi stared at Kalin. "I'm going to head back to Earth, and have some men destroy your fort," Masiyoshi decided. "When they destroy it, they'll take Dickson out with it," Kalin pointed out. "I know what I'm doing, Kalin. Leave me to my decision." "Fine. Dickson will be executed in exactly one hour." Masiyoshi walked over to Jan-Dirk. "Put your plan to free James into place. I'm heading back to Earth." "Why are you going back?" Jan-Dirk asked. "The Kazinites are attacking Earth," Masiyoshi replied. "We can help! With our attacks, we'll crush the Kazinites," Jan-Dirk suggested. "Come to Earth and help after you have freed James. We cannot afford to have him killed," Masiyoshi declared. "I understand your reasoning, Masiyoshi, but I don't understand how you think one man is more important than one planet." "You'll understand soon enough. Now, I need a pilot for the venture back to Earth. Who do you have?" "We have a South African, Idigo Colop who is very trained with piloting," Jan-Dirk said. "Summon him here." Jan-Dirk shouted for the man, and he arrived. "Are you capable of flying me back to Earth?" Masiyoshi asked. "I am capable of flying any ship. Of course I can fly you back to Earth!" Masiyoshi stepped into a ship. "Okay then, Idigo. Take us back home." General Nguan-Cheng had evacuated all citizens from Beijing. His men, and the Kazinites were fighting out in the streets of the city when a small ship touched down on the outskirts of the city. He turned to a soldier. "Captain Whey-ming. Send a scouting party to determine whether the people of the ship are friend or foe." The captain nodded, speaking into a comm device in Chinese. His gaze returned to the general. "The scouting party is already there. They say that the Japanese leader has landed." "Masiyoshi Kozumi? Why is he here? We are more than capable of handling these guys ourselves." "I wouldn't be so sure about that, Nguan-Cheng," a voice from behind said. A man wearing a red and black cloak appeared. "Who are you?" Nguan-Cheng asked. "My name is Eon, leader of this attack," the man said. "Why aren't you sure we can beat you?" Nguan-Cheng asked. Eon lifted his arms, and flames escaped. "You don't know any of my powers, General." Nguan-Cheng and Whey-ming jumped into a nearby hovercar, and took off, just as Eon shot his flames at both them. They tried outmaneuvering the fire, but it just kept getting closer. Nguan-Cheng quickly jumped up. "We need to jump out the vehicle!" he shouted. Whey-ming nodded, jumping up as well. Both of them jumped off, landing on a smashed food stand. Nguan-Cheng got up, and watched as the fire hit the vehicle several yards ahead of them. The car exploded soon after it was hit. "I can tell this battle will not be as easy as I expected," Nguan-Cheng said. Masiyoshi advanced into the city, with Idigo beside him. They were surprised to see no fighting where they entered. "It looks like we landed near a secured area of Beijing," Idigo said. For Chinese soldiers quickly rushed up to them, weapons raised. "Ni shi shui?" one of them asked. "Wo bu zhidao zhongwen," Masiyoshi replied. The soldier looked at Masiyoshi. "Dangsin-eun hangug-eoleul malhaneunga?" "No, do you know this language?" Masiyoshi asked. "Not much. Who are you?" "Masiyoshi Kozumi, leader of Japan. I have come to assist in helping Beijing." "What you do to help? You unprepared." "Let me pass. I know what I am doing," Masiyoshi assured the soldier. The soldier turned to the other soldiers and spoke Chinese. After a short conversation, the soldier turned back to Masiyoshi. "This secured area. General Nguan-Cheng and soldiers fight to south." "How did you secure this area so quickly?" Masiyoshi asked. "Aliens no attack north. They trying to progress northward," the soldier stated. "Do you have a vehicle so I can get to the battlefield quicker?" The soldier turned in the direction of a building. A soldier was driving a new Toyota Sokudo V4 hovercar. "En-Lai drive you to battlefield. Wouldn't trust you with vehicle." Masiyoshi and Idigo jumped into the car. The pilot started the vehicle, and they sped down a large street. Masiyoshi wondered how Jan-Dirk and his men were proceeding on their mission. Jan-Dirk looked through the leaves of a nearby plant at the Kazinite base. Some Kazinite soldiers were guarding the fort, some were mounted in laser turrets, and a few were guarding the submarines. "If we hope of winning this time, we'll need to take out those submarines," Jan-Dirk said. "How are we going to do that?" Rico Pedrez asked. "We'll need to take out the guards without being seen. I know the perfect way to do this," Jan-Dirk said. "Okay. How will we get the guards near the fort?" Pedrez asked. "Do you see the turrets?" "Yes." Jan-Dirk fired twice at the soldier at the turret, killing him on the first shot. "One of our soldiers will commandeer that laser turret." "How are we going to get the guards at the fort?" Pedrez asked impatiently. "That isn't our main priority. We need to destroy the submarines before caring about the fort," Jan-Dirk explained. "But if we are spotted by the guards, they will sound the alarms," Pedrez pointed out. "I thought we were trying to free James Dickson," Xiaolun Fuga said. "Yes, but we must destroy the submarines if all of us want to come out alive. Follow my orders," Jan-Dirk explained. He pointed to a soldier. "Get to the turret." The soldier rushed up to the turret, and climbed into the post, pushing the dead Kazinite soldier out. He signalled to them that it was safe to advance. They rushed up to the turret, and looked the direction of the guards. Two of the three started to talk to each other. The third one looked directly at the submarines. "Problem. He is looking at our target," Pedrez whispered. Jan-Dirk tossed a detonator up to the soldier manning the turret. "Take the laser pack out of the ammunition box. After that is done, shoot this at the submarines," Jan-Dirk whispered to the soldier. "Verstanden." The soldier shot 5 detonators total at the submarines. Jan-Dirk ran back into the jungle. Pedrez watched for a few moments, and then saw Jan-Dirk emerge from the jungle behind the fort. He saluted to Pedrez, and walked in the side entrance. The driver stopped the vehicle. "Zhe shi women tingzhi." Though Masiyoshi couldn't understand the driver, he thanked him, and got out of the vehicle, along with Idigo. "I don't see a battle," Idigo said. "Your concern isn't the battle," a voice said. Masiyoshi glared into the shadows, where a figure emerged from. "Eon." "Masiyoshi. I hope you had a good time on Kazin," Eon said. "I did. Nearly destroying one of the Kazinite bases was enjoyable. But now, you will pay for killing my father," Masiyoshi said, pulling out his sword, and running towards Eon. Eon dodged, and shot a large ball of fire towards Masiyoshi. He quickly moved out of the way, and lunged at Eon. Eon jumped up, and hopped into the hovercar, killing the pilot, and taking the keys. "See you soon, Masiyoshi!" As soon as Eon sped off, two soldiers walked up to Masiyoshi. "Are you Masiyoshi Kozumi?" one of them asked. "Yes. Why?" "I am General Nguan-Cheng. This is Captain Whey-ming. We need your help to defeat Eon." "I'll fight him if you can relocate him for me," Masiyoshi said. Whey-ming pulled a device from his pocket, and punched a few buttons. He handed it to Masiyoshi. "We installed a tracking device on the car during your short fight. It should take you directly to Eon," he said. "What about you two?" Masiyoshi asked. "We'll help you fight Eon along with your friend." Masiyoshi spun around. "Where is Idigo anyways?" Idigo stepped from behind a large dumpster. "Is Eon gone?" "Okay. That problem has been solved. Now how are we going to catch up to Eon, when he's speeding 200 miles per hour?" Masiyoshi asked. Nguan-Cheng walked them into a car-store, and came out with a vehicle. "This is the new Honda Fury. It reaches speeds up to 300 mph." "Lets go then." Jan-Dirk creeped slowly down the hall, until he reached an intersection. He looked down the new hallway, and saw two guards sitting near a special door. It seemed that that was where the prisoners were being held. He slowly lifted his pistol, and stepped out into view of the guards. Both of them shot at Jan-Dirk, but hadn't hit him. Jan-Dirk fired twice at one of the guards, instantly killing him. The second guard reached for the alarm, but was shot down quickly. "It looks like the party has arrived," a voice from behind said. Jan-Dirk spun around, surprised to see Pedrez and a few soldiers. "How did you get in?" "We went through the front door." "Does anybody know about this?" "We fired into the trees, and the guards went to investigate, giving us valuable time to sneak in," Pedrez explained. "Were there any soldiers on the way here?" Jan-Dirk asked. "We managed to sneak from the front back here without being seen," Pedrez said. "Do you have someone with you that can hotwire a door panel?" A soldier stepped forward. "I am Mattio Guillam. I presume you have heard of me?" "Are you that hacker that got caught by Cuban officials for hacking into a classified file 15 years ago?" Mattio nodded. "They threatened Mexico with war. Santo Nimez, leader of the Agencia de Inteligencia de México sent me there to make sure of Juan Carlos's final decision on the war." "Okay then. Hotwire the door." Mattio pulled out a few devices from his pocket, and then took out a screwdriver. He slowly and carefully removed the electric door panel, and looked inside. "This panel requires a retina scan. It will scan your eye, and if it finds a match in its database, it allows you in," Mattio stated. "So you can't hotwire or hack it?" "I can't hotwire it, but I can hack it," Mattio said, picking up a device he had with him. "This is a code input device. Just scan something onto it, and you can upload it to a device. I'll scan my eye, and upload the scan to the panel's interior. The only downside to this is that the data will also be uploaded to all computers within the area." "Isn't there another way?" Jan-Dirk asked. "Yes, but I have never used this approach. We can make the door panel do the opposite of what it is supposed to; I can move a few wires, and make it so that if you had an unmatched retina, it would open the door. This may take a while to finish, because I have never done this before..." Eon's vehicle was in plain sight now. Masiyoshi and Idigo grabbed their pistols, and fired several times at Eon's vehicle, trying to hit the thrusters, but to no avail. Masiyoshi looked at Whey-ming, who was driving. "Speed it up. I'll need to jump onto Eon's vehicle if we hope on stopping him," Masiyoshi demanded. Whey-ming sighed. "It does sound reasonable, but risky. If you misstep, you'll get flattened by our vehicle." "It's a risk I'm willing to take. Anyone else going to help?" "Nguan-Cheng stood up. "This is my fight too. I'll also assist Masiyoshi." "What about you, Idigo?" Masiyoshi asked. "I'll stay back here just for backup," Idigo replied. "Okay. Rush up to Eon!" Whey-ming set the car to its fastest speed. The vehicle was soon right behind Eon's vehicle. Nguan-Cheng and Masiyoshi jumped onto Eon's vehicle in unison. "You underestimate my abilities; both of you! I am more than capable of handling two humans by myself." Eon turned the car to autopilot, and jumped up, punching Nguan-Cheng and Masiyoshi in the chin, making both of them fall to the floor of the car. Masiyoshi quickly jumped up, grabbing his sword. Eon produced lava on his arm, and solidified the lava into two swords. "You won't win, Masiyoshi." Masiyoshi swung hard at one of Eon's swords, knocking it out of his hand. Nguan-Cheng grabbed it as it was about to fall. Eon formed another sword, and fought with both of them. Soon, Eon had a higher advantage. Kazinites from atop buildings began firing down at them. "You'll get shot too!" Nguan-Cheng shouted. "I am immune to all heat. You, on the other hand, are not," Eon said, slashing at Nguan-Cheng. Nguan-Cheng ducked, and while laying on the floor, tripped Eon. Nguan-Cheng quickly jumped up, his sword raised above Eon's neck. Masiyoshi did the same. "A very interesting duel," Eon said. "Tell your men to retreat," Nguan-Cheng demanded. "And what will that accomplish?" Eon asked. "In your terms, it will 'accomplish' nothing, but you being arrested instead of killed!" Masiyoshi shouted. "There is nothing you can do to escape this time? Right, Masiyoshi?" Masiyoshi nodded. "I've seen all of your tricks. You won't be able to escape." Eon turned on his comm device. "Nurr. Retreat all men from Beijing. This is an order from your general," Eon said. "But we are within minutes of conquering it," Nurr complained. "Listen to orders. Head back to KZD-01." "Yes sir," Nurr replied, reluctantly. Idigo jumped into the vehicle, and stopped it, and then cuffing Eon. "Your arrest will create a major turning point in this war," Masiyoshi said, handing Eon to Nguan-Cheng. "Take him to your most strict prison. I want no mercy over him." "Understood." The door opened. Mattio got up. "Done. It is safe to advance." Jan-Dirk stepped into the prison, and didn't shut the door. Several guards instantly looked up from what they were doing. A guard rushed up to an alarm, and pulled it, but no alarm was sounded. Jan-Dirk started at Mattio. "I didn't disable the alarm system." "If you didn't, who did?" Pedrez asked. Their wondering stopped, when Kalin entered the room, a gun pointed at Jan-Dirk's head. "Your strategic plan has failed. You will all be executed right here, and now." Jan-Dirk pulled out the detonator switch. "Let us go, or I'll detonate all of your submarines," he threatened. "That will only be a minor setback," Kalin proclaimed. "The only reason we lost last time was because of your submarines. If I hit this switch, my men will rush in freely, and destroy your base," Jan-Dirk explained. "All the detonators were removed from the submarines," Kalin stated. Jan-Dirk swore. Kalin was about to pull his trigger, when a red light flashed around the room. A speaker uttered the words: "Warning! Code Omega-6; F'orancca.." Kalin and the guards rushed out the room. Jan-Dirk stared at the exit in shock and fear. "What is a F'orancca, and why would it scare several Kazinite soldiers?" Jan-Dirk asked. "F'oranccas are jungle beasts native to this area of the planet. They are massive; the height of a two-story home," a man in a cell stated. "Dickson. Glad to see you alive and well," Jan-Dirk said. "Okay. Get us out of here, before someone figures out my fake alarm!" James shouted. "You tapped into the alarm system? How?" Mattio asked. "All of the prisoners were forced into fixing the electrical systems after the first battle. During this time, I installed a comm device with a warning on it into the speakers. I shut down the alarms also." "But that still doesn't explain how someone sounded the F'orancca alarm," Pedrez pointed out. James smiled. "Believe it or not, I got a Kazinite on our side." Everybody was shocked at this news. "How did you convince him or her?" Jan-Dirk asked. "Doesn't matter right now. Let's get out of here!" Masiyoshi answered his comm device. "Masiyoshi. We have freed James. Tomorrow we will head back to Earth to assist. After we are done on our home planet, we'll head back, and destroy the Kazinite base here. Oh, and don't freak out if we have a Kazinite with us. He's on our side." "Okay. Head back here so we can free San Diego." "Roger that." __________________________________________________________________ How will Earth fend off the Kazinites? What is to happen to Kalin?
