BIO FOR 2010 Sunrise Class{b/}

I am jennyj, a 51-year old poet from Chattanooga, Tennessee. I have been a delighted member of WDC since February, 2009; it has become an indispensible part of every-day life for me! I am somewhere on the site everyday. In addition to writing poetry on this site, I have become a full-time freelance writer in the past year and write constantly, for a variety of employers. They don't see my poetry; I primarily write articles for them at their request, for a tiny bit of money! This is NOT a get-rich-quick career, now or ever! But, it is the MOST FUN JOB I've had in my entire life, except for the summer in college when I worked in a book store and got to read all the new books for free every day as part of my job. . . .

I have a wonderful husband; he is an aspiring writer also, and thus is very supportive of my constant writing and need for office supplies--altho I'm not too sure what office supplies an online writer needs a whole lot of! We have no kids; we raise a HERD of housecats instead. They are frequent topics in my writing on this site. I haven't tried to unleash them on the freelance world yet!

I have had MS for 25 years and am just disabled enough to get me out of having to join church softball leagues. I am in a wheelchair, and thus always have a seat even in really big crowds.

I had an earlier unhappy career as a lawyer for a little over 17 years. I became to disabled at one point to sustain that pace. I am glad it is over, and my MS has been dormant since retiring!

I am taking this class because I have tried to take it before, and just didn't get it right.
I am getting it right this time!

You can call me Jenny or Jennifer or whatever you want. I am flexible about that and will answer to anything.

I look forward to this class and the growth as a writer that I will experience. I say that with confidence because I have found what I've already learned to be invaluable in my writing. I read most everything and like most kinds of music and all types of food!
