This is dedicated to our unborn child, whom I never held in my arms. Our child was miscarried at 7 weeks. I hope to see our child again someday. My beloved child, you never were born;
I never held you within my arms, I never gazed upon your sweet smile, I never was drawn into your charms. My beloved child, you never were born; I never heard your cute baby talk, I never sighed as you held my hand, I never watched as you learned to walk. My beloved child, you never were born; I never sang you a lullabye, I never kissed your forehead good night, I never rocked you when you did cry. My beloved child, you never were born; I never brushed your locks of soft hair, I never tickled you on your feet, I never caressed your skin so fair. My beloved child, you never were born; I never watched as you moved and played, I never heard you sing your first song, I never soothed you when you were afraid. My beloved child, you never were born; I know we will meet again some day, For now God wants you to be with Him, But once we meet you will not be taken away.
