Fitting In

I’ve been trying for so long;
to fit in with this large family
with its colorful, noisy,
full-time presence
in my view and in my head.
Don’t get me wrong;
I love you, every one!
But, you see,
I crave quiet and order.
It’s not that you don’t want
quiet or order,
it’s just that there’s not
much call for it here!
