AND-MOSES-WEPT!

He looked upon a land
He could never enter in,
And – Moses – Wept!

Promised of from old, all
That he beheld, proved GOD
Had kept his word to him.

In his dreams,
Moses had seen,
That this gift would not be his
But, must pass to others.

For twice upon a rock,
This man of faith had tapped,
A momentary lapse, which
Had cost him everything.

Yet, as he looked upon GOD’s gift,
Moses knew he had been blessed,
To live to see this place, promised
Of for forty years.

And falling to his knees,
Moses finally felt at peace, and
So Moses went to sleep,
To dream a final dream

In which an Angel draped in light,
Came to him that night,
Saying “be ye not afraid,
Thy trials have ended with this day.

And ye shall dwell forevermore,
Where joys eternal are, thou
First Shepherd of GOD’s flock.”

“For GOD now gives command,
Thou must journey to another land,
Where no mortal man can go.”
And – Moses – Died.

Then with immortal eyes,
He beheld true Paradise,
And – Moses – Smiled!
