Transformation In the darkness, he holds her mind as his wings spread to cover the moon with a crimson haze following his breath. The wolf sits upon the cliff, his teeth bared and decayed as he watches her innocence float away in the breeze, forever gone. She is transformed, where once a blond halo sat, now serpents preen in the dusky moonlit shadows, waiting for a victim. Where eyes of green stared out from behind thick lashes, now milky white souls beat at the eyelids, screaming for release. And the wolf waits, his mourning cry echoing in the night, holding onto the last wisp of sanity in the air; he knows. The breath leaves her body crumbling beneath his touch as he waits for finality of it; he closes himself around her and feeds. In the blink of an eye he is gone, leaving behind nothing but a pile of ash and a screaming soul lost, for eternity.
