My girlfriend's smile lifts my spirits - a poem.

I welcome into my heart again
Your gentle, warm, and appreciative smile –
That expressive look of fondness and sweet rapture,
So stunning and divine.
Hawks and seagulls so noticeably engaged in flight,
Zoning high above or gracing the waters’ pristine edges,
Would lay perched on some inherently natural façade
And gaze in kingly awe,
So nobly aware of this fleeting beauty,
The presence of your perfect smile.
Your gracious hugs and romantic kisses
Becoming ever-so-completely satisfying
With the giving of your loving, heartfelt “thanks”
And that soothing smile to once again
Lift my youthful, empathic spirit…
