Religion Must Go Away

Centuries ago religion was the Glue that held society together. Today it is the scary clown hiding under the bed.

Religion must go. Years ago Religion was life. Today it interferes with life.

Just decades back, religion was a forum for helping your fellow man. Today it is a forum for hate and bashing. Religion no longer helps you see the light. Rather it is the light by which the deer is blinded.

Millions of people verbally profess belief in a god. They claim to be active supporters of the organization of their choice. Believing that God is known and knowable. Not realizing they don't know who is truly manipulating them.

A handful of individuals count on those millions of blind lambs. Bringing in their own group of confidence men as their following grows.

Why don't those at the top of the religion food chain seek the betterment of others? In other words, why don't they do the will of god? Why don't they practice what they preach? Irregardless of the god they claim to worship and serve, why do they lie, cheat and steal?

The answer is another question. What does it takes to get there? What is required of an individual to be a leader of the masses? First let H.G. Wells repeat to you his observations.

H.G. Wells, 'The Outline of History'. The chapter SERFS, SLAVES, SOCIAL CLASSES AND FREE INDIVIDUALS. To paraphrase his words. Here is the argument about the priesthood. It's control is described by Wells as the nucleus and the root binding force. How could that be? The priesthood is described as a group of individuals that basically held all knowledge to themselves. Using their inside information to keep the uneducated in subjection. The tillers of the soil were given just enough to survive. Food that is. Knowledge was something they were 'not' to have. The only knowledge the tillers needed was how to keep the livestock healthy and when to plant and harvest the next crop. The priesthood had all the books. The tillers of the soil had illiteracy and the hand tools. So states H.G. Wells.

Going back in history to the days of castles and small kingdoms in Europe,  religious orders prevailed. The ancient order of serfdom and kings played right into the religious control of the world. Picture small kingdoms all over the European world. Think even smaller kingdoms. Now think even smaller. If you had a map of Europe on a 8"x11" page with borders of these kingdoms, the page would be all black because the borders were so close. The Dark Ages indeed. Now take the same map and draw the borders of those religious orders controlling the world scene. It would show three or four big pieces of the pie, depending on which century you focused  on.

? How does the modern day of spiritual enlightenment and the information age cohabitate ?
? Does money, power and sexual gratification change hands in our modern environment ?

see you next time
