My borrowed time view
sailing the seas far away I cried the new life for me discovering distant shores, dreaming of being married signed and sealed in wax writing it in the family bible that sunshine day of spring. Remembering her beauty wearing two pearl earrings needed a brand new dress due to this extreme heat, confusing me to marry her singing sweet lovers songs those melodies of pleasure her nights as the street lady. Her kisses too sweet for me that now deceived my heart promised never to fail again on a lonely pillow of shame, these sheets unfolded alone borrowed time sailing away so sad in bad time sorrows searching for a new horizon. Empty spaces filled my mind twisted waves crashing down my deep caves of doubt crying how to swim without a prayer, lost gasping trying to breathe battered bleeding on the rocks the vision of dancing with her praying for me there in heaven? My journal entry forgiving her buried due south in the snow where I failed to reach safety found with the compass dial, the soul knows how to listen weeping for my lonely lady playing her sad fado music repeated in a melody refrain. 40 - Text lines.
