WDC Writers Cramp 10-7-10 for 10-8-10
NEW PROMPT: Write a STORY or POEM with the title Asking the Right Question-- this MUST be the title of your static item, exactly as is. COUNT: 26 lines ASKING THE RIGHT QUESTION I begin each day knowing I'm asking the right question! As I focus on my blank-slate-day, I ask myself: “what is the best thing that will happen today" I think about the day's fledgling, Incomplete “to do” list as I forage among the vague awakening crumbs of my breakfast and my thoughts. I grapple with my answers, mindful of what I must accomplish today, and what I really want to do, instead! At the end of my day, I again find myself asking the right question about my day as I fall asleep; grading my day as if it were an assignment: what was the best thing that happened today? And, I fall asleep smiling at my answer— my happy life!
