AWAY WITH DEPRESSION'S DEPRESSION'S CHILL
I will go out to meet the day I will not give it away To the blackness of the morning still Covering me with depression’s chill Taking the gift of this unbegotten day Away! Away! I will just take it back By resolve cover my lack To capture some gift of this day From the something trying To take it Away! Away! I will not give up my right To live out this day – this night Depression will have to take flight It will not take it Away! Away! I will put one foot out of the door And another one step more Calling blues, greens, yellow forth The colors of day are my resource Depression blackness can’t make them go Away! Away!
