*Witchhat* WITCHES BREW *Witchhat*

High on a mountaintop is a ghastly sight,
a hideous old witch who flies in the night.
On her broomstick, she circles the moon,
and cackling laughter echoes in the gloom.

She is up to no good, that is for darn sure!
Her heart is wicked, her thoughts impure!
She is an evil witch, through and through,
cooking up another batch of witches brew.

A recipe passed down from the dark ages.
and she reads it over, on the faded pages.
Eye of newt, slimy skin from a black rat,
blood from a frog, and hairball from a cat.

Heat the pot to boiling and add some malt,
a pinch of ragweed and just a pinch of salt.
Don't try this at home, for it might not work,
whatever it is, it is where the demons lurk.

Shades of night and the party has begun,
people in town gather to have food and fun.
A big pot-luck dinner is just about to start,
hungry eyes are gazing at the kettle dark.

"Smells delicious", everyone exclaimed,
(just who brought it never was explained).
When they had their fill, they finally saw
the evil grin of a witch and her pointed jaw.

The people soon faded away into the dust,
the witch had won, as she knew she must.
Beware of the witches who cook their "stew",
and never ever take a taste of witches brew!
