THE STRUGGLE
... written for an inspirational campfire creative for Circle of Light poetry.

The reflection made of me
a hidden sight to see
like shadows in a dream
float hesitant downstream.

Water rocking chair,
clouds drifting in the air
while lullabies of sorrow
smooth this tousled hair.

Soul adrift and troubled,
cries meek and mildly muffled,
'til whispered Words of comfort
hush the silent struggle.
